Elaine Harada

Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) and current Director of the Center for Distance Education (CED/UFAM). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo and a PhD in Informatics in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She is a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Informatics (PPGI/UFAM). From 2019 to 2021, she served as Associate Editor of the Revista Brasileira de Informática na Educação and is currently Senior Editor of the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society. Since 2021, she has held a Productivity Fellowship in Technological Development and Innovative Extension from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). She coordinated the Introduction to Computer Programming course at UFAM for several years. Her research focuses on analyzing student behavior in programming learning environments, applying learning pathways and data-driven methods to predict educational outcomes and enable adaptive learning through Learning Analytics.
