Raoni Simões Ferreira

Associate Professor III (class B) at the Institute of Computing (IComp) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) since December 2025. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (2008), a Master's degree in Informatics from UFAM (2010), and a PhD in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the University of São Paulo [São Carlos] (2016). Completed postdoctoral research at the State University of Maringá (2016). Was a professor at the Center for Exact and Technological Sciences (CCET) of the Federal University of Acre from June 2017 to December 2025, where he has been a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science at UFAC (PPGCC/UFAC) since October 2018. His research interests are related to the areas of Information Retrieval, Data Mining, and Machine Learning with applications in the Web and Social Media. The professor also has experience in the following areas: searching, classifying, predicting, and automatically recommending content in web-based information retrieval systems.
