He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science (2004) from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Since July 2009, he has been a faculty member at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM).His research focuses on communication networks and network control systems, with emphasis on resource allocation, traffic modeling, and performance-driven network dimensioning. His work investigates control and optimization mechanisms for content distribution under communication, computation, and storage constraints, integrating analytical modeling with data-driven approaches.More recently, his research has concentrated on reinforcement learning-based network control strategies to enable adaptive and resource-efficient immersive content delivery over edge-assisted communication infrastructures.
